FINANCE DIRECTOR (MD)

Our client is a European market leader in the paper, packaging and recycling industry, known for high quality, ecological orientation, customer as well as employee focus and production efficiency. For its newly-acquired Italian Recycling plant an active and trustful executive, with strong finance background from a manufacturing company with a group structure is sought, who ideally has post-merger integration experience.

With the group’s support, your main tasks after the acquisition will be to act as sparring partner for the former owner and Co-MD and represent the group’s interests. You build up and organize the administration of the accounting and controlling tasks and hire relevant employees. You ensure group compliance at all times with relevant accounting, tax and other regulations/laws, ensure liquidity of the company, prepare business and fiscal plans as well as annual audited reports, monthly reports to the group and ad-hoc analysis. You implement an efficient cost management and a stable IT landscape and provide HR services.

You have a university degree in Economics or Business or an equivalent, several years of relevant experience in a comparable position and a strong finance background. Fluency in Italian and English is a must. You have strong cooperative leadership and change management skills, good conflict resolution skills and an entrepreneurial spirit. You are solution- as well as service-oriented, stress-resistant, hands-on and understand the local culture while still being multiculturally aware.
