Our client is an established international biotech company focusing on the discovery and development of novel drugs to treat life-threatening diseases. Home-based in the UK with subsidiaries in Vienna, Austria and the US our client is looking for a flexible, well-versed and motivated personality with an affinity for numbers to reinforce the financial team.
Reporting to the Senior Finance Director and working closely with project managers and external service providers, you will be instrumental in the company’s financial planning and controlling process. You will be the main contact person for internal finance assistants and external accounting service providers for day-to-day operations. You will also support the finance team in private or public financings and business development activities. In this multifaceted position providing support to management in budget planning, forecasts and financial reports will be part of your duties, as well as analysis, scenario and cost-effectiveness studies. Your sphere of activity will be rounded off by supporting the preparation of the necessary documentation and calculations for the planned initial public offering (IPO) at NASDAQ.
Your qualifications include a business degree (University of Applied Science, University) with relevant specialisation/professional development and at least 2-3 years of experience in comparable positions. Ideally you will have worked in a biotechnological/pharmaceutical environment. Relevant IT (especially MS Excel) and English skills are an absolute must. You should also be socially competent, a good communicator, possess an analytical, structured and self-reliant working method, as well as resilience and be good with numbers.
The salary package in line with the market for this position exceeds clearly the one mentioned in the collective agreement, depending on your experience and expertise.
